When the police make an arrest for a crime, NYPD and the district attorney’s office often convict the person in the media before the accused has even appeared before a judge, much less presented his case to a jury. Yet, we rarely hear about the victims of police lies and brutality even though dozens of people every day spend a day, a week, and much longer behind bars based on fabricated statements and planted evidence. This blog will tell the other side of the story, the side of the victims of police misconduct.
Unfortunately, our firm has a rich source of stories to tell about police brutality. All the stories will be real, only the identities of the victims will be hidden. We invite your feedback, just keep it civil.
